Lecture Slide Reflection

I chose one of the slides from the final images for project 5, which was exploring shadow as repetition. This slide drew my attention because of its skillful use of colour. Throughout all 5 books of the project, colour is used to highlight specific aspects of designs or to illustrate a point. In fact, all the little projects within a big one are colour coded which creates a feeling of unity and logical structuring of ideas as one studies the project.
In this specific project the use of the colour blue highlights the moving part of the building by making it stand out against the dull gray concrete of the model.
This has led me to consider the use of bright colours or perhaps contrasting textures (such as transparent as opposed to densely hatched) to accentuate certain aspects in my own project.
