These stairs have been modelled in Sketchup from a simple sketch in my Moleskine. I rendered some sample textures and added people to get a better feel of the stairs and their scale. The final model is somewhat different from the original sketch, but the main features are still there. I have decided to use a spiral stair to save space, because there is a significant drop in height between thw top studio and the gallery space. As one gradually descends from the stair, the entire gallery is visible.
