Three Images

A: Your best piece of creative work before coming to university.

This is a sketch of an impossible object that I did in year 11 or 12 at school. While I haven't done Art as a subject during the final few years of high school, I still found myself doodling in classes. Doodling varies greatly, but impossible objects such as this one have always been one of the recurring themes. I'm constantly fascinated how seemingly simple such drawings are, yet in the end my mind is always blown.

B: An image of a great piece of architecture.

Sagrada Familia is a great unfinished church in Barcelona, Spain. One of the facts that amazes me about this building is that the work has started in 1882. And it's expected to be completed in 2026. Nearly a century and a half under construction, that gets me impressed. Then, I start to consider the immensity of the building, and the numbersof complex and detailed shapes, ornaments and decorations used in the design of this church, and how it is all the vision of just one architect - Antoni Gaudi. To me, this work is truly a pinnacle of world architecture.

I have resisted the urge to post a photo of my girlfriend on the beach (haha, that's how you know I went to the lecture), I couldn't resist putting in a photo taken on the beach by my girlfriend. I'm not much of a photographer, and looking through the recent photos on my camera has yielded this image. It is an original shot of me though, and I'm seeing how many m&m's I can fit between my fingers (m&m's + beach = bad combo, as I found out later). I like it because it's a fun, colourful and besides that, a very confusing photo. Also, because it features 18 delicious m&m's.
